SPGS III Project Steering Committee makes key recommendations for sustainable forestry sector in Uganda

Members of the Steering Committee of the Sawlog Production Grant Scheme (SPGS) Phase III Project have proposed some recommendations to promote sustainability of the commercial forestry sector in Uganda, while at the same time improving the environment and fostering economic growth. SPGS III is a Project of the Government of Uganda, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to support private sector investment in commercial tree planting.
